Adrian Pinto just can’t stay healthy.
This is Blue Jays Nation’s annual mid-season prospect list, where we’ll take a look at the 50 best prospects in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. I’ll look at the player’s stats, what other publications have to say, as well as my own observations of the players.
When healthy, Pinto has put up consistently good numbers in the Blue Jays organization, including in 2025. Therefore, he ranks as our 35th-best prospect. If you missed the 36th-ranked prospect, you can read about Brandon Barriera here.

Getting to know Adrian Pinto…

Position: Second base/Centre field
Bats: Right
Born: September 22, 2002
Acquired: Trade with Colorado Rockies (2022)
Previous ranking: 22nd (2025 pre-season)
Standing at 5’6”, 156 lbs, Pinto signed with the Colorado Rockies during the 2019 International Free Agency period, but didn’t make his debut until the 2021 season. He hit the ground running as a professional, slashing .360/.486/.543 with three home runs in 224 plate appearances with the Rockies’ Dominican Summer League team. He stole 41 of 49 stolen bases en route to that season’s DSL MVP.
Before the start of the 2022 season, Pinto was traded alongside Raimel Tapia to the Blue Jays in exchange for cash and Randal Grichuk. He registered just 194 plate appearances, slashing .242/.375/.363 with two home runs for a 120 wRC+.
In 2023, Pinto only got 149 plate appearances, slashing .243/.404/.287 with no home runs for a 109 wRC+, splitting his time between the Florida Complex League and High-A when he wasn’t injured.
The 2024 season was another one where Pinto missed significant time, with the second baseman/centre fielder not making his season debut until mid-July. After rehabbing in the FCL and Single-A, Pinto slashed .300/.355/.571 with three home runs in 76 plate appearances upon arriving in High-A. On top of the three home runs, Pinto had eight doubles and a triple, registering more extra-base hits than singles.
Pinto had a terrific start to the 2025 season. At one point, he led the organization with seven home runs in just 75 plate appearances. In his 85 total plate appearances this season, Pinto is slashing .284/.376/.608, with 10 extra-base hits for a 164 wRC+ with the Canadians. Unfortunately, the story has remained the same, as Pinto hasn’t played since May 10th.
In his four seasons with the organization, Pinto is slashing .269/.384/.432 with 13 home runs, as well as a 12 BB% and 16.5 K% for a 133 wRC+. The bad news is that in those four seasons, Pinto has only 540 plate appearances. To put that in perspective, there will be a handful of Blue Jays’ prospects that will pass that number in just 2025 alone.
When healthy, he’s a great prospect. His best tools are his hit tool and speed, but there’s a surprising amount of power in his small frame. Pinto also plays second base and centre field, and does so well. Health is the only reason he ranks as low as he does.
