BJN Radio – Ep. 163: The bats went limp against San Diego, the Mariners were selling Blue Jays merch, and more!

After a commanding sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks right out of the All-Star break, the Blue Jays’ bats went limp and they dropped two of three to the San Diego Padres.
We talked about the inconsistency of the lineup, the difficult start that Alek Manoah had and what that means for Toronto’s trade deadline plans, and John Schneider reaching 100 wins in his big-league career.
After that, we looked at the American League East, which features a new top team for the first time all year, and where Shohei Ohtani might wind up. Finally, we took a look ahead to the upcoming series in Seattle with the Mariners.
