Blue Jays earn one-game sweep in Cleveland

Saturday’s game got rained out. Sunday’s game also got rained out. That means the Jays swept Cleveland, right? Sure!
Toronto and Cleveland will play a makeup double-header on May 3 in Cleveland. That kind of sucks because it was supposed to be an off-day between playing in Minnesota and travelling to Tampa Bay to play in the House of Horrors. It also means the Jays will play 14 games over a 13-day span between April 24 and May 6. That’s a hell of a grind, but it’s reality all over the league right now as The Endless Winter has resulted in so many games being postponed.
I guess a positive is that the Jays are having games postponed while Josh Donaldson and Kendrys Morales are on the disabled list. I mean, you’d rather have those two in the lineup, and it’s possible they both will be come May 3. This is also good for Marco Estrada, who’s dealing with back spasms, and Devon Travis, who was plunked on the hand with a ball on Friday night.
Anyways, yeah. It was a shitty weekend of baseball, but thankfully the Jays pulled off that eight-run comeback on Friday night because I’d hate to be festering on a loss right now. The Jays will now head home to play three games against Kansas City before playing a four-game series in New York against the Yankees.
