Happy Three Days After Canada Day, everyone! The New York Yankees will be celebrating some other thing today, but hopefully the Jays can roll in and spoil the party.

News and Scuttlebutt

A handful of injury news this morning:
Miguel Montero has been added to the 25-man roster and Luke Maile has been placed on the 10-day DL with “right” “knee” “inflammation” *wink*. That’s basically the way things are handled these days. Instead of optioning somebody or DFA’ing them from your roster, just throw ’em on the DL. It’ll be a nice break for Maile who’s been beaten up behind the plate a lot this year.
Aaron Sanchez will be back on Friday, it seems. I would guess that Joe Biagini will moved back to the ‘pen, then somebody like Mike Bolsinger or Dominic Leone will be sent back down in his place. let’s hope that Sanchez is back for good this time.
And finally, Joe Smith won’t be back until after the All-Star break. Obviously not having Smith is unfortunate for the ‘pen, but it’s unlikely having him around would do anything for the Jays overarching struggles recently.

And now, the lineups…

Blue Jays

J.A. Happ: 3.71 ERA, 51 IP, 9.0 H9, 1.4 HR9, 1.6 BB9, 9.0 SO9

Yankees

CC Sabathia: 3.46 ERA, 75 1/3 IP, 8.4 H9, 1.1 HR9, 2.9 BB9, 7.4 SO9
The last time the Jays faced CC Sabathia, they hit him hard. That was back in early June when the team could hit, though. So who knows what to expect! We’ll have an actual lineup today, as Troy Tulowitzki, Kevin Pillar, and Russell Martin will all slot back into the lineup.
