The Blue Jays will kick off a tough series with the Red Sox tonight. It’s four games long and we somehow won’t see Chris Sale, David Price, or Rick Porcello. Maybe this spaghetti string bat lineup can take advantage of it?

Hey, the Jays are so bad that they won’t have to see Chris Sale on Thursday! Hell yeah! Wait, what?! I wrote about it above if you’re interested.

Speaking of Thursday, that’s Liriano’s spot in the rotation, but he was removed from Saturday’s loss with neck soreness and it’s unclear if he’ll make that start or not. As all of the beat reports sang in unison, Liriano will be re-assessed and we’ll know tomorrow if he’ll be able to go. If not, it’ll be Mike Bolsinger I’m guessing.

And now, the lineups…

Eduardo Rodriguez will make his first start since June 1 today. He missed a month-and-a-half with a knee injury, but has been largely excellent this season. His one issue has been command, which can bode well for the Jays. As we saw on Friday night, Toronto’s veteran lineup can capitalize on a pitcher struggling to keep the ball in the zone. Rodriguez has faced the Jays only once this season, and it came back in April in a one-inning clean relief appearance.
