GDB 11.0: The Toronto Blue Jays return home

5 months agoWe. Are. Back.
For the first time this season, the Toronto Blue Jays will play in front of the hometown crowd at the Rogers Centre. For the Jays it comes after a long start to their season on the road.
After Spring Training in Dunedin, the team hit the road visiting the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals and most recently, the LA Angels. The Jays have managed to come out on top with a solid 6-4 record and honestly, I’ll take that. That’s a tough way to start the season.
It’s been far from an easy start for the club either. Nearly every pitcher in the rotation has had some struggles to start the season now that we’re two times through the order.
Tonight we’ll get a look at Alek Manoah on the mound for the Jays home opener. After struggling in the season opener against St. Louis, he went seven innings against the Kansas City Royals allowing just one hit while walking four batters and striking out another five.
Let’s see what he can do in a new look Rogers Centre.
