GDB 47.0: Toronto Blue Jays look to split homestand in series finale with Baltimore Orioles

By Zach Laing
17 days agoThey don’t ask how, they just ask how many.
And this afternoon, the Toronto Blue Jays — seemingly unremarkably — are able to split their three-series homestand with a win this afternoon. A lot of that is in thanks to their sweep of the Atlanta Braves, who the Jays mopped up in three straight.
Against the Yankees, things didn’t go well as they dropped three of the four games carrying a similar vibe into the series against Baltimore dropping the first two games. Alas, they find themselves in a spot to go .500.
And honestly, it feels like it would be a miracle if they could pull it off. However fret not, as Kevin Gausman takes the mound this afternoon. He’s coming off a great game against the Yankees where he fanned 10 batters, but the team struggled to score in front of him.
Let’s see if the Jays can do that this afternoon by getting to Dean Kremer.
