The Toronto Blue Jays will finish off their nine-game, three-city road trip with a set in Miami against the Marlins.
The Marlins have been red-hot lately as they own a 12-4 record through the month of June, though they’ve gone up against the Oakland A’s, Kansas City Royals, and Washington Nationals over the past week weeks.
A major part of Miami’s improvement from a basement team last year to a playoff contender this year has been the addition of Luis Arraez. Acquired from the Minnesota Twins over the off-season for pitcher Pablo Lopez, Arraez leads baseball with a .388 batting average and a .440 on-base percentage this season and could wind up with the National League MVP when it’s all said and done.
The Blue Jays will send José Berríos to the mound to kick off the series while the Marlins will counter with a bullpen day led by Bryan Hoeing.
