Matt Stairs can still swing the bat like a boss

Matt Stairs, native of Saint John, New Brunswick, is one of the best Canadian baseball players of all-time. He ranks second all-time in homers by a Canadian Major League Baseball player with 265 behind, of course, Larry Walker. And good lord, he looks like he could suit up and smash a few out of the park at the tender age of 50.
Stairs is the hitting coach of the San Diego Padres. I wouldn’t blame you for not knowing that because it’s incredibly easy to forget that the Padres even exist. But earlier today, the Padres tweeted out a video of Stairs taking batting practice, smashing a ball out of the park with ease, and then walking away like a goddamn boss.
Stairs signed as a free agent with the Blue Jays prior to the 2007 season and went on to club 33 homers in 677 at bats with the team largely as a pinch hitter. Those were his 39- and 40-year-old seasons, which is incredibly bad ass. He was traded to the Phillies mid-way through the 2008 and went on to win the World Series with them that year.
He smashed this pinch hit bomb in the NLCS:

Then he had this ridiculously good quote:

Sorry if this article is extremely random, but, fuck yeah, Matt Stairs. Can you really argue against that?
