Three players from the Los Angeles Angels won&#8217;t be making the trip to Toronto ahead of a three-game set.
Prior to Friday&#8217;s opener, the team placed relievers Aaron Loup, Ryan Tepera and outfielder Taylor Ward on MLB&#8217;s restricted list due to their vaccination statuses.

Loup, 34, was selected by the Blue Jays in the ninth round of the 2009 Draft and played seven big-league seasons from 2012-18. The left-hander logged 318.2 career innings, posting a 3.47 ERA, 3.49 FIP, 52 holds and six saves.
After spending last season with the New York Mets, where he registered a career-best 0.95 ERA, Loup signed a two-year, $17-million contract with the Angels over the off-season. He owns a 4.05 ERA and a 4.35 FIP across 46.2 innings in 51 appearances this season.
Tepera, 34, was also drafted by Toronto in 2009, chosen out of the 19th round. The right-hander made 216 career major-league appearances, producing a 3.64 ERA and a 4.41 FIP over 215.1 innings. He also converted 10 saves and 38 holds.
The 6-foot-1 hurler signed a two-year, $14-million contract with Los Angeles last winter. This season, he carries a 3.80 ERA and a 4.15 FIP through 45.0 innings in 46 appearances.
Ward, 28, is hitting .261/.351/.447 with 17 home runs and 46 RBIs across 427 plate appearances this season. He&#8217;s also recorded a career-best 128 wRC+ score.
In corresponding moves, the Angels have recalled right-handers José Marte, Gerardo Reyes and outfielder Ryan Aguilar.
