BJN Radio – Ep. 151: Alek Manoah heads to Dunedin, Blue Jays finally cut ties with Anthony Bass, and more

It’s been a busy week in Blue Jays land.
Alek Manoah was able to record just one out in his series-opening start against the Houston Astros on Monday and he was subsequently demoted to the Florida Complex League to sort things out. But after that, Kevin Gausman, Chris Bassitt, and Jose Berrios led the Blue Jays to a huge series win over the defending World Series Champions.
We talked about Manoah’s demotion and how the Blue Jays will navigate his absence. We also talked about the pitching the team got otherwise in the series and the clutch contributions they received from Bo Bichette, Brandon Balt, Alejandro Kirk, and Daulton Varsho.
After that, we talked about the Blue Jays finally opting to cut ties with Anthony Bass after the puzzling announcement that he would be involved in Pride Weekend festivities. Finally, we took a look at the American League East and ahead to this weekend’s series with the Minnesota Twins.
