The Jays, powered by Kendrys Morales’ bat, rallied to win a surprising game against the Rays last night. Today, they’ll look to win two in a row (again!!!?) with Marco Estrada on the hill. That sounds ideal, right? Estrada has been dominant all season, save for one start, which came in Tampa Bay.

Joe Biagini will start in what will be a bullpen effort on Sunday, but with Aaron Sanchez and J.A. Happ still on the disabled list, T.J. House, who’s been dominating Triple-A so far, might be a good option to fill in. As Keegan Matheson notes, House’s ERA is down to 1.24 (!!!) after a seven-inning shutout performance today. As of right now the Jays are rolling with Marcus Stroman, Estrada, and Francisco Liriano and ten relievers, so something going to have to change.

Marco Estrada’s lone poor start of the season came back in Tampa Bay. He was tagged for three homers over five innings, which, interestingly enough, were the only home runs Estrada has allowed all year. I wouldn’t look too far into it, but it’s been pointed out that Estrada also struggled with the Rays lineup in 2016. Going for Tampa will be the consistently solid Jake Odorizzi, who shut the Jays down in that aforementioned Estrada start. He’s largely a fastball pitcher, someone the Jays really should be able to take advantage of.
