And now, the lineups…
Blue Jays
Brett Anderson: 8.18 ERA, 22 IP, 13.9 H9, 0.8 HR9, 4.9 BB9, 6.5 SO9
Red Sox
Chris Sale: 2.88 ERA, 178 1/3 IP, 6.6 H9, 0.8 HR9, 1.8 BB9, 12.8 SO9
Chris Sale is coming off of his worst start of the season last week in Cleveland. It was his first time as a member of the Red Sox not making it at least through five innings pitched, as he was tagged for five earned runs over three innings. So Anderson, who’s making his Blue Jays debut after a couple of strong starts for Triple-A Buffalo, is going to have his work cut out for him against a highly-motivated Sale.
