The ups and down’s just won’t stop with these Toronto Blue Jays, and you can’t help but laugh a bit about it.
On Friday, Alek Manoah returned playing a great game that saw the bats heat up in a 12-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers. 24 hours later, they were no-hit by Matt Manning and the Tigers’ pen.
It truly makes no sense, but that’s baseball.
Today, Chris Bassitt takes the mound for the Jays who look to win this series over Detroit and enter the All-Star break on a high.
- George Springer was added to the paternity list on Saturday morning and the team recalled Nathan Lukes.
- On Sunday, reliever Zach Pop was activated off the 15-day IL and was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.
