Hear This: Talkin’ Jays on TSN 1040 in Vancouver and TSN 1260 in Edmonton

The Jays won a huge one on Monday night in front of an incredible crowd (despite their propensity for the wave) of Canadian fans that essentially made it a home game at Safeco Field for the club. Yes, yes, they made it real interesting at the end, but all that matters is that it made it into the win column — and also that Marco Estrada looked terrific, that Edwin Encarnacion showed that maybe he’s going to be the guy who will pick up the slack for an offence still struggling as Jose Bautista and Josh Donaldson struggle to find the power in their bats, and that… um…
OK, so maybe those were the only two bright spots on Monday night (with respect to Kevin Pillar’s stellar-as-always defence), but it was a whole lot better than what we’ve become accustomed to here in September. And it gave me a bunch of things to ramble on about here on Tuesday afternoon, when I spoke with a pair of morning shows serving the fine folks out west: on The Bro Jake Show on TSN 1240 Vancouver, and on the Lowdown with Lowetide on TSN 1260 in Edmonton.
