Three of the four Blue Jays affiliates suffered a loss on Wednesday.
A win-streak was snapped, while a different win streak has now hit five games. Moreover, the upper-minor teams failed to build on the success they had on Tuesday.
Let’s dig into the latest Minor League Report:

Buffalo fell 5-3 to Syracuse

After three home runs on Tuesday catapulted the Buffalo Bisons to a 7-5 win on Tuesday, they lost 5-3 to the Syracuse Mets to bring their record to 5-3.
It wasn’t for a lack of trying though, as the Bisons out-hit the Mets 10-5, including doubles from Leo Jimenez and Cam Eden. Jimenez had a three-hit performance, while Orelvis Martinez and Nathan Lukes each had two singles. Other players with a hit were Will Robertson and Spencer Horwitz, who also walked twice, as did Steward Berroa.
Andrew Bash made the start for the Bisons, finishing with a line of 4 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 1 K to bring his season ERA to 4.38. Paxton Schultz followed him, pitching two clean innings with a strike. Brandon Eisert had a terrific relief inning, striking out all three batters he faced. It was Brendon Little who was tagged with the loss, giving up two earned runs in a third of an inning, before Mike Mayers recorded the final out with a strikeout.

New Hampshire gave up a big inning, lost 5-2

Sadly, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats weren’t able to build off their win on Tuesday, as they fell 5-2 to the LeBron RubberDuckies.
The bats went cold again, as the team had just four hits, with Michael Turconi hitting two singles, while Devonte Brown and Rainer Nuñez each had one. Turocni, Brown, Alan Roden, Phil Clarke, and Garrett Spain all walked once, while Roden was hit twice.
Trenton Wallace is a pitcher to keep an eye on now, as he finished with a line of 5 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 9 K to bring his season ERA to 2.53. In his last six games, Wallace has gone five innings pitched in five of them. Hunter Gregory was tagged with the loss, as he allowed three earned runs in his inning. Nick Fraze struck out two batters in his two innings pitched.

Vancouver gave up a late run, snapping their three-game win streak

Vancouver Canadians’ win streak came to an end on Wednesday, as they lost the series opener to the Tri-City Dust Devils by a score of 6-5. This loss brings their record to 19-23.
Dasan Brown had one of his best games of the season, hitting his fifth home run of the year on top of a single for one of two multi-hit games for a Canadian hitter, while also walking twice. The other multi-hit game came from Glenn Santiago, who had two singles, while Dylan Rock hit his sixth double of the season. Jeffrey Wehler had the other team’s hit and also walked twice.
Pat Gallagher made the start for the Canadians, and finished with a line of 4.2 IP,  6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K to move his season ERA to 4.50. Following up was Chay Yeager who gave up two earned runs in an inning and two thirds to bring his season ERA to 5.49. Grayson Thurman was tagged with the loss and a blown save, giving up an unearned run while walking two and striking out three. Anders Tolhurst pitched a clean inning and struck out a batter.

Dunedin’s win streak hits five games

For the first time in a long time, the Dunedin Blue Jays are above .500 as they are now 24-23 thanks to a 6-5 walk-off win on Wednesday.
Alexis Hernandez continued to stay hot, going 3-4 with his third home run in his last four games. Selected in the Minor League Rule 5 portion of the 2023 draft, he’s now slashing .232/.350/.374.
Victor Arias hit his second home run of the season, with Dunedin Blue Jays broadcaster Larry Larson basically speaking this home run into existence, along with a single. On top of that, Daniel Pérez hit his fourth triple of the season (it’s shocking), while Manuel Beltre hit a double.
Juaron Watts-Brown made the start for the D-Jays and once again had a successful outing, finishing with a line of 4 IP, 2 H, 0 ER (1 R), 3 BB, 8 K to bring his season ERA to 3.75. Aaron Munson pitched a clean inning with a strikeout, while Eliander Alcalde gave up an earned run in his inning pitched and was tagged with a blown save.
As to was Irv Carter, who gave up two earned runs in two innings pitched, while striking out two batters. The 2021 fourth-round pick has had a successful season nonetheless, as he has a 3.95 ERA for the season. Keiner Leon also blew a save, but picked up the win as he struck out three batters while giving up a run.
