ICYMI last night, I offered my obligatory thoughts on baseball and Montréal on the eve the Jays' annual visit bluejaysnation.com/2017/03/30/obl…
Montreal Exhibition Threat: Pirates @ Blue Jays @ The Big O

Party like *googles when that one year the Montreal Expos made the playoffs was* it’s 1981! There’s a Major League Baseball game being played in Montreal!
News and Scuttlebutt
In case you haven’t read it yet,or fuck, if you wanna read it again, above are Stoeten’s thoughts on baseball in Montreal, which seems like it could possibly maybe be a reality in the not-so-distant future. The Jays playing in Montreal is always a fun time to speculate on the Expos 2.0, especially with dogshit franchises like the Rays and A’s playing in stadiums that look like they were built during the Bronze Age, but it’s important to remember that selling out two games a year is a completely different animal than filling seats over and entire summer.
Arden Zwelling has pretty much all of the actual, relevant Jays-related news for us, as the Aaron Sanchez and Devon Travis will both be good to go for opening day, it seems, and the final roster will be figured out by tomorrow. Apparently Melvin Upton is on the cusp, and there’s interest in Detroit for another outfielder, but keeping Ryan Goins on an already infielder-heavy roster and cutting the potential upside of Upton doesn’t make much sense to me. We shall see.
Can confirm this is now an official Blue Jays alternate cap, listed as "Alternate 3" on their style guide, no idea how they plan to use it.
.@UniWatch @sportslogosnet Official Jays shop has white panel listed as alternate: jaysshop.ca/iSynApp/produc…
And then there’s this! Apparently the Jays are going to rock white panel hats again this year, which is a good thing, because they’re damn nice, and would fit nicely with the home white uniforms. The next step is bringing back a new version of the old powder blues.
