Jose Bautista heads back to the top of the lineup for the Blue Jays tonight, as they look to turn around their ALCS fortunes, down 2-0 to Cleveland. Sure, why not?
Meanwhile, Terry Francona has announced that Corey Kluber could pitch tomorrow for his squad — if things don’t go well for Trevor Bauer tonight. That, of course, would set Kluber up for a game 7 start as well, albeit on short rest, which means… we’re probably going to be seeing Kluber tomorrow regardless.
BUT ENOUGH ABOUT TOMORROW. The Jays know what they need to do — hit the damn baseball and get pitching from Marcus Stroman that’s as good as what they got from Marco Estrada and J.A. Happ in the first two games of this series.
Not easy! But hardly impossible with Bauer and his drone-injured finger on the hill.
And if it’s Kluber tomorrow looking to close them out, so be it. Hit him as well as they did last time and they’ll probably be fine.
