Blue Jays 2026 mid-season top prospect list: No. 30 Pascual Archila

The Toronto Blue Jays’ farm system has had a handful of breakouts in the rookie leagues last season.
Elaineiker Coronado, who ranked as our 37th-best Blue Jays prospect in our 2026 mid-season list, had the best wRC+ of the bunch. Franklin Rojas, who ranked as our 31st-best prospect, has put up three consecutive strong seasons. However, no player made a name for themselves like Pascual Archila.
Signed in the 2024 International Free agency period, the 19-year-old outfielder just put up a career-best season and has positioned himself to play full-season baseball in 2027. Let’s take a look at our 30th-best prospect in the 2026 mid-season update.

Listed at 5’10”, 172 lbs, Archila signed with the Blue Jays during the 2024 International Free Agency period, signing for a bonus worth $847,500. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Blue Jays that season, slashing .242/.415/.33 with two home runs in 161 plate appearances, along with an 18 BB% and 21.7 K% for a 124 wRC+.
The outfielder’s 2025 season was similar, slashing .246/.433/.351 with two home runs in 232 plate appearances, with a 21.6 BB% and 22.4 K% for a 122 wRC+. While he finished with the same home run total, the left-handed batter hit 12 doubles as opposed to five in 2024.
Archila reached a whole new level in 2026. Joining the Florida Complex League Blue Jays, Archila slashed .266/.454/.450 with seven home runs in 232 plate appearances, with a 23.7 BB% and 25 K%. His wRC+ also jumped to 138.
There have been 49 players in the Blue Jays’ farm system to receive 200 plate appearances this season, but only one (Sean Keys) has a higher wRC+. Archila’s ISO, or isolated power also saw an increase, going from .105 in 2025 to .183 this past season, a noticeable jump.
Archila is also active on the base paths, stealing 17 bases in 19 attempts, a better percentage than his 19 stolen bases in 23 attempts with the DSL Blue Jays in 2025. He’s mainly played centre field throughout his career, committing no errors and picking up no assists in 337.1 innings fielded in centre this season. That said, he managed to pickup eight outfield assists in 2025.
Playing in the FCL in 2026, data is limited and he isn’t a highly touted prospect in the system (yet). But just looking at his statistics, there’s some pop in his bat and he seems to be a patient hitter. He also appears to be quick on the base paths with a strong arm.
Time will tell where his career takes him, but a strong 2026 has positioned the centre fielder to start next season with the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays.
