<p>After a rough stretch in the second half of their series in Oregon with the Hillsboro Hops last week, the Vancouver Canadians have returned home, and returned to their winning ways, as they captured their third straight <em>W </em>on Thursday night at <em>The Nat </em>with a 3-2 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils.</p>
<h2><span class="article-item__related-content-label">Devereaux Harrison: He&#8217;s the Quiet One</span></h2>
<p>RHP Devereaux Harrison had himself a night, as he continued his strong run for Vancouver on the slab.  The Vallejo, California native, whose previous three starts had ultimately led to victories for the Canadians, threw seven strikeouts across six innings pitched, giving up four hits and no runs.</p>

<h2>Kekai Rios: Big Yard Guy</h2>
<p>For the first seven innings of the ball game, it was a night for the field.  As previously mentioned, Harrison was great on the mound for Vancouver, while Dust Devils&#8217; starter Michael Darrell-Hicks was also strong in his seven innings pitched.</p>
<p>Darrell-Hicks&#8217; lone&#8230; <em>Oopsie&#8230; </em>came in the third inning, when Kekai Rios blasted a solo shot onto the roof of the <em>Nurtl Zone </em>in left field to open the scoring for the C&#8217;s.  It would be Rios&#8217; fourth Minor League jack of the season, all coming since his reassignment from AA New Hampshire down to Vancouver.</p>

<p>Right-hander Eric Pardinho would replace Harrison on the mound for Vancouver at the top of the seventh inning, and after a strong seventh, the eighth would not be as kind to him.  After giving up three singles and a sac bunt on the first four Tri-City batters to load the bases, Pardinho would walk Dust Devils fielder Joe Stewart with a full count to bring home the tying run.  Following that, Arol Vera would send a sacrifice fly out to Garrett Spain in right field, giving the next Devils runner, Steven Rivas, the opportunity to dart home and beat the tag to give Tri-City their first lead of the ballgame.  That would signify the end of the night for Pardinho, as he was replaced by Naswell Paulino, who finished off the inning, and the rest of the game.</p>

<p>As we&#8217;ve talked about a few times on <em>Under the C&#8217;s, </em>Dasan Brown is fast.  I might have compared him to Pavel Bure once, actually&#8230; Anyways, after Dasan was plunked with the fifth pitch of his at-bat, he took his spot at first, was sent to third by a Garrett Spain single, and turned on the afterburners to go home on a wild pitch, tying the game for Vancouver. <strong> </strong></p>

<p>Peyton Williams is a 6&#8217;5&#8243;, 255-pound first baseman from Des Moine, Iowa. Guys, he is a sight to behold.  He&#8217;ll be in WWE the second he hangs up the cleats if he wants it, basically.</p>
<p>Peyton has only been with Vancouver since the start of August since getting reassigned from Single-A Dunedin, but he has been an impact player, to say the least. He has 11 hits, four RBIs, and two homers in 10 games with the Canadians, and the big man&#8217;s biggest hit might have come last night, and he didn&#8217;t even need to get it out of the park. Williams sent a line drive single to centre field, bringing home the go-ahead run in Garrett Spain, reclaiming the one-run lead for Vancouver, and that was all they needed, as the Canadians held on for a 3-2 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils.</p>
<p>Vancouver will look to clinch the series win over Tri-City this afternoon at historic Nat Bailey Stadium.</p>
