<p>Yesterday, it was Matt Chapman going on the shelf with a sprained middle finger. This time, Bo Bichette is going on the 1o-day Injured List with a right quad strain.</p>

<p>Bichette injured his knee back on July 31 in a loss to the Baltimore Orioles and spent over two weeks on the Injured List before getting activated on August 19. Bichette appeared in eight games before leaving Sunday&#8217;s loss to the Cleveland Guardians in the sixth inning.</p>
<p>Coming up in Bichette&#8217;s place will be Mason McCoy, the player that the Blue Jays got in return when they traded Trent Thornton to the Seattle Mariners. He was added to the 40-man roster with the open spot that was opened on the 40-man roster when Paul DeJong was designated for assignment and released last week.</p>
<p>McCoy was selected in the sixth round of the 2017 draft by the Baltimore Orioles and this is his first time reaching the Major Leagues. The right-hander has slashed a .226/.324/.383 line over 467 plate appearances between Seattle&#8217;s Triple-A affiliate and the Buffalo Bisons.</p>
