Sean Reid-Foley (2-3, 3.00 ERA, 7.8 strikeouts per nine innings) will be the Blue Jays’ primary pitcher on Tuesday, while three-time Cy Young Award-winning left-hander Clayton Kershaw (12-2, 2.63 ERA, 9.3 SO/9) starts for the Dodgers. The Blue Jays are 4-3 in Reid-Foley’s last seven starts. The Dodgers are 17-3 in Kershaw’s last 20 starts as a home favorite, but the total has gone OVER in six of the last nine most recent starts in that scenario.
The Blue Jays, who are using an opener with greater frequency, have not named a starter for Wednesday’s game. The Dodgers are starting right-hander Walker Buehler (10-3, 3.31 ERA, 10.6 SO/9). Buehler has a 2.33 ERA at home where the Dodgers are 8-3 in his 11 starts this season, but the total has only finished UNDER in five of those games at online betting sites.
The Blue Jays also have not named a starter for Thursday’s game. The Dodgers will use right-hander Kenta Maeda (8-8, 4.18 ERA, 9.7 SO/9). The Dodgers are 11-9 in Maeda’s last 20 starts when the team was favored at home, with the total finishing UNDER 14 times.
Following this series, the Blue Jays will remain on the west coast for a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners.
