The Blue Jays are the -102 away underdog (bet $102 to win $100) while the Kansas City Royals are a -118 home favorite with a 10-run total on the MLB odds for Monday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Blue Jays are 8-3 against the Royals since the start of the 2018 season, and are also 7-4 in their last 11 away games against the AL Central. However, they are just 3-6 in their last nine visits to Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium.

One effect of trading all-star pitcher Marcus Stroman to the New York Mets on Sunday is that left-hander Thomas Pannone (2-4, 6.39 ERA, 8.9 strikeouts per nine innings) is joining the starting rotation full-time, taking the mound in Monday’s game.
The Royals are starting right-hander Brad Keller (7-9, 3.95 ERA, 6.4 SO/9) and they are 5-0 in his last five starts. The Blue Jays are 16-21 this season against lefty starters.
Right-hander Jacob Waguespack (1-1, 5.63 EA, 8.3 SO/9) starts for the Blue Jays in Wednesday’s getaway game, opposite Royals right-hander Jakob Junis (6-9, 5.03 ERA, 8.6 SO/9). The Royals are just 2-6 in Junis’s last eight home starts.
Following this series, the Blue Jays stay on the road with a four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles and three games against the Tampa Bay Rays.
