Did you stay up and watch last night’s marathon? The Blue Jays sure as hell made it worth your while if you did. After blowing a lead in the eighth inning, Jose Bautista came up clutch with his first home run of the season in the top of the 13th, then Joe Biagini bailed out Aaron Loup in the bottom half to help the team to their fourth win of the season. Momentum. Let’s hope they can build on it.

News and Scuttlebutt

A couple pieces of news:
First, Ty Kelly, who spent about 45 minutes with the team, was dealt to the Phillies in exchange for cash. He was DFA’s yesterday to make room on the 40-man roster.
Second, and more importantly, Troy Tulowitzki swiped third base last night on a wild pitch by Cam Bedrosian, but immediately pulled himself from the game. Today, the Jays placed Tulo on the 10-day DL, adding another challenge to their already injury-riddled roster.
Danny Bares was sent to Triple-A Buffalo in exchange for Leonel Campos, simply because Barnes has options and pitched two innings last night, and the Jays need a fresh arm. But we don’t know yet who’ll be up in Tulo’s spot. The only other infielder on the 40-man roster not currently on the team is Richard Urena. Logic would suggest the Jays would call up Gregorio Petit, but they’d have to make room for him on the 40-man to do so.
We wait.

And now, the lineups..

Blue Jays

Casey Lawrence: 2.0 IP, 13.50 ERA, 3 ER, 3 H, 5 BB, 0 HR, 2 SO

Angels

Tyler Skaggs: 17 1/3 IP, 5.19 ERA, 10 ER, 17 H, 7 BB, 3 HR, 19 SO
Casey Lawrence will make his first career big league start tonight. Opposing him will be Tyler Skaggs, the once highly-touted prospect who’s missed significant time due to going through Tommy John surgery. I’m not expecting much from that lineup, or Lawrence, to be honest. I’m mainly just hoping to get through the game injury free.
