GDB 23.0: Toronto Blue Jays look to build in series opener against Chicago White Sox

1 year agoThe Nate Pearson era is upon us, and the Blue Jays are coming off a big series win against the Yankees.
Tonight, however, Toronto kicks off a two-series homestand with the Chicago White Sox and the Seattle Mariners come to town. The Jays have to be feeling good after winning two of three in the Bronx, despite allowing a walk-off win on Saturday.
The big storyline was Vladimir Guerrero Jr. dominating at Yankee Stadium going 4/11 hitting two home runs and a double and now, he’ll look to continue to stay hot against the Chicago White Sox.
Chris Bassitt will take the mound tonight opposite Lance Lynn to kick off this three game set, and on Tuesday, we’ll see Jose Berrios opposite Mike Clevinger. Yusei Kikuchi will get the bump on Wednesday going against Michael Kopech.
