The Toronto Blue Jays entered Thursday’s deadline to exchange arbitration figures with 12 cases to settle, and they’ve since wasted no time crossing several names off the list.
As a reference point, we’ll also include MLB Trade Rumors’ 2024 arbitration projections alongside the reported arbitration settlements.
Here are which players have avoided arbitration with the Blue Jays:
  • Danny Jansen: 1 year, $5.2 million ($5.2 million projection)
  • Jordan Romano: 1 year, $7.75 million ($7.7 million projection)
  • Tim Mayza: 1 year, $3.59 million ($3.3 million projection)
  • Génesis Cabrera: 1 year, $1.512 million ($1.4 million projection)
  • Erik Swanson: 1 year, $2.75 million ($2.7 million projection)
  • Santiago Espinal: 1 year, $2.725 million ($2.5 million projection)
As of writing this article, the Blue Jays still haven’t settled arbitration cases with six players, including Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Daulton Varsho, Cavan Biggio, Trevor Richards, Alejandro Kirk and Nate Pearson.
The deadline for arbitration agreements passed at 1 pm ET on Thursday. Teams and players that didn’t reach settlements must exchange figures by 8 pm ET.
