Reliever Diego Castillo (1-6, 3.96 ERA, 10.0 strikeouts per nine innings) will be the first on the mound for Tampa Bay, making his first start of the season. The total went OVER in eight of the 11 games Castillo “started” last season.
This year, right-handed batters have some isolated power against Castillo with nine extra-base hits, including four home runs, in 90 at-bats, so it might be a subtly favorable matchup in home run props for Blue Jays such as Vladimir Guerrero and Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
The Blue Jays will hand the ball to Jacob Waguespack (1-0, 5.68 ERA, 9.5 SO/9) for his third career major-league start. He allowed two earned runs over four innings against Tampa Bay in his MLB debut on May 27, which is his only outing so far against the Rays.

Sunday, Aaron Sanchez (3-14, 6.06 ERA, 7.5 SO/9) starts for the Blue Jays. The total has gone UNDER in seven of Sanchez’s last 10 home starts at online sports betting sites. The Rays counter with Yonny Chirinos (8-5, 3.29 ERA, 7.8 SO/9), who has had the total go UNDER in eight of his last 11 away starts.
Following this series, the Blue Jays have a 10-game road trip, starting with a three-game set against the Kansas City Royals.
