Old Friend and 2016 First Half Legend Michael Saunders is playing on the other team today! Woah!
The Jays, led by Francisco Liriano are taking on the Phillies with a lineup that’s pretty terrifying when you think that could be something we see in July if a couple of key guys get injured. But we aren’t thinking about that yet, are we?

News and Scuttlebutt

Yaaaaaaaaaas. Apparently Donaldson’s injury is healing well, and yesterday, he said he feels “good enough to play tomorrow.” He isn’t in today’s lineup, though, but still, this is positive nonetheless. And fuck me, look at that swing!
Marco Estrada and Roberto Osuna, two Blue Jays who, in my opinion, have some of the more interesting, root-for-worthy backstories on the team, are heading off to play for their home country Mexico in the World Baseball Classic. Osuna talks about what it means to play in front of his younger brothers, and both, unsurprisingly, keep a tight lip on Mexico-United States geopolitical relations.
Wouldya look at that. Pro Sports Daily was right, Oakland didn’t lose the Josh Donaldson Trade! They got themselves a number one starter out of it, heck yeah, Moneyball!

I don’t want to get anybody stressed out, or anything, but shit, this is pretty much the lineup they would trot out there if Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson, and Devon Travis were all injured, hey? Stay healthy, please!
