BJN Radio – Ep. 197: Matt Chapman is no longer a Blue Jay

Matt Chapman has a new home. Well, sort of. He’s back on the West Coast.
Late on Friday night, word came out that Chapman and the San Franciso Giants had agreed on a three-year $54 million deal. Like the one that Cody Bellinger signed with the Chicago Cubs last week, Chapman’s contract will feature opt-outs after each season.
We talked about Chapman joining the Giants, why it’s surprising the Blue Jays didn’t get him signed, and who needs to step up in his absence. We also talked about some other notes from around Grapefruit League play, including Bowden Francis’ strong start and Daniel Vogelbach’s home run off of Gerrit Cole.
