<p>What&#8217;s more concerning is that this is the same thumb Moreno fractured last season, forcing him to miss over two months before he returned in September.</p>
<p>If this ailment is still bothering him, it could explain Moreno&#8217;s power outage in 2022, where he&#8217;s posted just two home runs and a .391 slugging percentage in 49 games with triple-A Buffalo. He&#8217;s also mustered a measly .092 isolated power.</p>
<p>On the season, the right-handed catcher is hitting .299/.369/.391 with 29 RBIs and a 108 wRC+ score across 206 plate appearances. Earlier this season, he briefly appeared in the majors, slashing .276/.300/.293 in 18 contests.</p>
<p>Moreno is currently the No. 5 top prospect in all of baseball, according to <a href="https://www.mlb.com/prospects/top100/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MLB Pipeline</a>.</p>
