After Vlad’s second major-league game of his career on Saturday afternoon, the Toronto Blue Jays announced that they have signed outfielder Ben Revere to a Minor League deal.

Reuniting with a member of the successful 2015 team, he will be reporting to Extended Spring Training in Dunedin on April 30. Where he goes from there? No one quite knows, but he did spend last year on the Triple-A affiliate of the Angels.

He last played in the majors two years ago for the Angels, slashing .275/.308/.344 with one home run and 20 RBI.

Revere probably had his most successful stint in the majors with the Jays. Acquired from the Phillies at the 2015 trade deadline for Jimmy Cordero and Alberto Tirado, he went on to have a total of 246 plate appearances in the regular season, hitting .319 with a .734 OPS. His .590 postseason OPS wasn’t necessarily a highlight for the outfielder.

He was then traded to the Nationals that offseason for Drew Storen and cash.

If the 31-year-old does join the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, he will be joining an outfield consisting of Anthony Alford, Jonathan Davis, Roemon Fields, Andrew Guillotte and Jordan Patterson.

Whether or not he sees anytime on the major league roster is something unknown, but if he has any success in the minors and Montoyo keeps on trotting out Socrates Brito, there might be some changes.
