The teams have an off day on Friday before the final two games of the series. Toronto&#8217;s starter for Saturday&#8217;s matchup is unannounced. Righthander Corey Kluber, a two-time Cy Young Award winner who has pitched only 36.2 innings in the last two seasons due to arm and shoulder injuries, will start for the Yankees. Kluber is 2-3 with a 4.46 ERA in 39.1 career innings against Toronto. He also has a 2.25 ERA in 28 career innings in Yankee Stadium, where he has held batters to a .553 OPS.
Toronto has also not named a starter for Sunday&#8217;s matchup, while righthander Domingo German is slated to start for New York. German, who was suspended in 2020 for violating MLB&#8217;s domestic violence policy, had a strong spring with a 1.38 ERA and a 17-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio across 13 innings. German is 2-2 with a 3.10 ERA in 20.1 career innings against Toronto, holding hitters to a .647 OPS.
