DH KENDRY UBER MORALES! BIAGINI MOSTLY OK! THE NO-NAME BULLPEN DOES IT AGAIN!
Anthony Alford picked up his first career hit — a double he roped off the wall — and Danny Barnes got his first career win as the Jays beat the Brewers in a game that felt closer than it maybe was. Jimmy Nelson — or whatever the hell Milwaukee’s starter’s name was — didn’t have his command tonight, and was lucky to exit the game allowing only four runs. Joe Biagini hit a bump in the fifth but was pretty good otherwise. Ryan Tepera extended his scoreless inning streak to 17.1. Kendrys Morales hit a key two run bomb. And Joe Smith and Roberto Osuna closed it out while barely breaking a sweat. That’ll do!
W: Barnes (1-2), L: Nelson (2-3), SV: Osuna (7)
