For those who enjoy unique jerseys, the Dunedin Blue Jays have one that might be up your alley.
The Blue Jays Single-A squad is situated down in Dunedin, Florida, and while big league squads like the Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays have a roof on their stadium, the minor leagues squad aren’t so lucky. Because of that, they have to tackle whatever weather gets thrown their way, and a summer in the Sunshine State can get dicey at times.
The 2025 squad had 24 weather delays, six cancelled games, and 10 games postponed thanks to Mother Nature, and to honour the nature gods, the club has unveiled ‘Rain Delay Jerseys’ for their game on July 18th against Clearwater. The jerseys themselves simulate a weather forecast, with some bright orange, yellow, and red spread across the chest, showcasing everything the club had to deal with last year.
Fans heading to the game won’t be receiving a jersey, but Dunedin is instead offering a ’50 Seasons in Dunedin’ t-shirt for fans while supplies last.
For those hoping to own one of the stylistic jerseys, the club has announced that they will be auctioned off at a later date, with the highest bidder taking home one of the jerseys. Considering the Jays might have some top prospects donning the colourful uniforms later this year, they could be a hot commodity amongst the memorabilia community.
