Back at it tonight with some interleague action from Atlanta. Here's our lineup pres. by @MajesticOnField. atmlb.com/2otPGEX
Game Threat: Joe Day, Blue Jays (17-23) @ Braves (15-21)

Things didn’t go well for the Jays against the Braves in Toronto. What appeared to be a very winnable series has now become an uphill battle just to end up right back where the team was when they were heading into it. Yuck!
News and Scuttlebutt
Goddamit! Just when the light at the end of the tunnel appeared to be nearing, John Gibbons drops a bunch of bad news on us. Apparently none of Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, or Russell Martin will be back as early as he figured, which sucks, because I’m getting kiiiiiiiind of sick of the ragtag lineup. It was fun during the Seattle series when the Mariners also had Triple-A pitching, but it’s gotten old and getting the good ol’ boys back would be very nice.

And now, the lineups…
Blue Jays
Joe Biagini: 27 2/3 IP, 2.28 ERA, 6.8 H9, 0.3 HR9, 1.0 BB9, 7.8 SO9
Braves
5/17 @Braves lineup vs TOR Inciarte CF Phillips 2B Freeman 1B Kemp LF Markakis RF Suzuki C Peterson 3B Swanson SS Foltynewicz P
Mike Foltnewicz: 35 2/3 IP, 4.04 ERA, 9.3 H9, 1.5 HR9, 2.8 BB9, 7.8 S09
Apparently Biagini’s pitch count will go up to 80 tonight, and in the future, how long he goes be based on performance rather than pitch count in general. Biagini has been excellent so far in two starts since entering the starting rotation, allowing no earned runs through nine innings over two starts. The best thing about this game, though? Seeing how Biagini performs with the bat. National league rules suck, but sometimes it’s hilarious watching a pitcher go up there and try to hack it. That said, if Biagini gets hurt? Fuck, this wouldn’t be funny anymore.
