Another Blue Jays pitcher is injured and will be placed on the disabled list. Jaime Garcia has been diagnosed with left shoulder inflammation *wink* and has been placed on the 10-day DL. Deck McGuire has been recalled in his place.

Garcia has had an ugly start to his Blue Jays career. Since his first start in which he held the White Sox to one run in six innings, Garcia has failed to produce a quality start. In two of his last three outings, he’s been clubbed for six runs while not making it beyond the fourth inning.

According to Ben Nicholson-Smith, the Jays will use Joe Biagini on Saturday and Sam Gaviglio on Sunday. That means McGuire will be available out of the ‘pen when if things go to hell over the weekend.
