The Bisons nearly rallied from an early-inning deficit, but in the end fell to the Red Wings, 5-4, in 11 innings, Sunday afternoon from Innovative Field.
Minor League Report: Dasan Brown hit his fourth home run of the season, three Blue Jays’ affiliates suffered walk-off losses, and more!

The Blue Jays affiliates narrowly avoided an organizational sweep.
On Sunday, four of the five Blue Jays affiliates were in action, as the Florida Complex League Blue Jays had the day off. Overall, the four “A” affiliates went 1-3 during the day, with every loss being a walk-off.
Let’s dig into the latest Minor League Report.
Buffalo fell in extra innings
Heading into the bottom of the 11th, the Buffalo Bisons had a 4-3 lead, but two runs from the Rochester Red Wings saw the Washington Nationals affiliate defeat the Bisons. Buffalo’s record now sits at 25-20 for third in the International League East division.
Addison Barger hit the team’s only extra-base hit, his 13th double of the season. Will Robertson had a multi-hit game, while Spencer Horwitz, Rafael Lantigua, Nathan Lukes, Max McDowell, and Steward Berroa all had singles.
It was a reliever society on Sunday, as nine pitchers pitched for Buffalo. Troy Watson had the start and pitched 2.1 innings with two unearned runs and two strikeouts. Brandon Eisert was the first out of the pen, giving up a walk, an earned run, and striking out a batter in two thirds of an inning. Chad Green had a good relief appearance, striking out a batter and allowing a hit in his inning of work.
Brendon Little pitched a clean inning with two strikeouts, as did Connor Cooke, while Joel Kuhnel pitched a clean inning with one strike out. Mason Fluharty pitched an inning and a third giving up a hit and no unearned runs, while Luis Quiñones walked four and struck out two in an inning and two thirds. Mike Mayers was tagged with the loss, giving up two runs (one earned) while walking two batters.
New Hampshire walked off
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats also walked off in the 11th inning, losing to the Hartford Yard Goats by a score of 2-1 to bring their record to 16-22.
It was a low-hit affair for the Double-A team, but of their four hits, three were doubles. Miguel Hiraldo, Josh Kasevich, and Devonte Brown all had a double, while Garrett Spain hit a single. The team struck out 17 times and only walked twice, as Brown and Alex De Jesus both had a walk.

Pitching was solid for the Fisher Cats, as Devereaux Harrison picked up the quality start, finishing with a line of 6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 6 K with a home run given up. Nick Fraze struck out a batter in an inning of work, while lefty Ian Churchill pitched a clean inning and a third with a strikeout.
Ryan Boyer allowed two walks and struck out a batter in an inning an two thirds and Trevor Clifton was tagged with the loss, pitching two thirds of an inning, allowing two hits and a walk for an unearned run.
Vancouver’s ninth-inning comeback thwarted by a walk-off
Down 7-4 in the top of the ninth, the Vancouver Canadians scored five runs in the final inning, only to be walked off as Spokane scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth, ouch. With the loss, Vancouver has now lost three in a row and are 16-19 for the season.
Despite the loss, there was a lot of good in this game. Dasan Brown had a three-hit, four RBI performance as he hit a double and his fourth home run of the season.

That wasn’t the only home run that the team hit, as Jean Arnaez hit his second home run of the season, while Ryan McCarty hit his fourth home run of the season. Arnaez also hit the team’s other double, while McCarty hit a single.

On top of the numerous extra-base hits, Jace Bohrofen, Jackson Hornung, Dylan Rock, and Jommer Hernandez all had a single.
Vancouver’s pitching was hit hard for the second straight game. Lazaro Estrada made the start and finished with a line of 3.2 IP, 3 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 5 K with a home run given up. Alex Amalfi gave up three earned runs (and struck out three) in two innings pitched. Josh Mollerus had a clean outing, striking out a batter in an inning of work, while Conor Larkin pitched a third of an inning with a hit allowed.
Johnathan Lavallee gave up two earned runs, along with two walks and two strikeouts in an inning and a third of work, while Grayson Thurman was tagged with the loss, giving up a home run.
Dunedin win five straight
The Dunedin Blue Jays were the only Blue Jays affiliate not to lose on Sunday, defeating the Jupiter Hammerheads 6-5 to win their fifth consecutive game. Their record sits at 19-20 for third in the Florida State League West, but they are still eight games back.
Jean Joseph hit his third home run of the season, a solo shot in the bottom of the first inning. He had a three hit performance, while Manuel Beltre, Nicolas Deschamps, and Ricardo Balogh had two-hit performances. Balogh, Joseph, and Alexis Hernandez all had doubles as well, while Tucker Toman had the other Dunedin hit.

Gage Stanifer made the start and had his second good outing in a row, finishing with a line of 4 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K to bring his season ERA to 6.94. Sebastian Espino gave up an earned run and struck out a batter in an inning of work, while Juanmi Vasquez finished with a line of 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER (3 R), 1 BB picking up the win in his second Single-A appearance. Aaron Munson picked up the save, striking out two in his clean inning of work.
