According to Blue Jays prospect writer and author D.M. Fox, Blue Jays pitching prospects Nolan Perry and Chad Dallas are set to miss considerable time after undergoing UCL surgeries on their respective pitching arms.
Perry has reportedly already undergone the procedure while Dallas is set to undergo surgery sometime shortly (you can read the updates in Fox’s Future Blue Jays newsletter here).
Dallas, a fourth-round pick of the Jays in 2021, missed some time earlier in the season with a quick IL stint and landed back on the injured list in late July – later moving to the full-season IL on August 24th.

Two more Blue Jays prospects set to undergo UCL surgery

The right-hander was a key cog in the Blue Jays starting pitching depth and was moved to triple-A Buffalo to start the season.
Through 14 starts, the Tennessee alum amassed a 6.34 ERA with 44 runs allowed off of 73 hits and 24 walks, striking out 50 batters en route to a 7.4 K/9. Dallas pitched to a 3.65 ERA through 123 1/3 innings last season, spending most of the campaign in double-A New Hampshire.
Also heading to the injured list is right-hander Nolan Perry, who has been on the injured list since mid-August with his elbow injury.

Some tidbits from my conversation with Blue Jays farm director Joe Sclafani today: -an adjustment with his front foot has helped Jace Bohrofen have a breakout 2nd half -RHP Nolan Perry has had UCL surgery, Chad Dallas is slated to undergo it as well /1

A 12th-round selection in 2022, Perry started the year in high-A Vancouver and authored a 2.93 ERA through 46 innings and 14 starts, one of the go-to arms in the Canadians’ rotation.
The New Mexico product was a bit wild at times (7.6 BB/9) but he had plus strikeout material, collecting 57 K’s and posting an 11.2 K/9 rate while holding batters to a .641 OPS.
It has been a rough season for Jays pitching prospects, with Ricky Tiedemann, Landen Maroudis, and Brandon Barriera landing on the long-term IL with their own respective UCL injuries and surgeries. Big leaguer Alek Manoah also underwent Tommy John, with the Jays pitching depths being tested further given his absence this season and a portion of next year as well.
