Juan Sanchez, one of the Toronto Blue Jays’ top international free agent signings in 2025, had a good weekend.
This is the June 27 – June 29 edition of the Minor League Report, where we look at how the last three days have gone for each of the Blue Jays’ affiliates. We’ll look at the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, High-A Vancouver Canadians, Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays, FCL Jays, and their two DSL teams in this article. If you missed Friday’s article, you can read it here.
Let’s dig in!

Bisons drop four of six, win final two games

The Buffalo Bisons started the week losing the first three against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, and then proceeded to make it four as they lost Friday’s game 8-3. Christian Bethancourt and Leo Jimenez each hit a double, while Josh Rivera had a three-hit game. CJ Van Eyk had a tough start, giving up seven earned runs in four and two-thirds innings pitched. Tommy Nance struck out four in an inning and two-thirds.
On Saturday, the Bisons picked up their first win of the series, defeating the IronPigs 13-3. Phil Clarke hit their lone home run, as well as a double. Ali Sanchez, Riley Tirotta, Yohendrick Pinango, Michael Stefanic, and Jimenez all hit doubles. Lazaro Estrada started the game, striking out seven in five and two-thirds innings pitched.
The Bisons capped off the series with a 4-3 extra-inning victory on Sunday. Rivera hit his third home run of the season, the team’s lone extra-base hit. Adam Kloffenstein made the start, striking out six and allowing two earned runs in six innings of work.
Next week, the Bisons play three games at home against the Rochester Red Wings, before playing the weekend half of the series in Rochester.

Fisher Cats drop five of six

It wasn’t a good week for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. On Friday, they fell 3-1 to the Hartford Yard Goats, as Ryan McCarty hit the lone extra-base hit, a double. Jace Bohrofen and Jackson Hornung each struck out three times. Ryan Watson had a solid start, going six innings with just two runs allowed, with three strikeouts and three walks.
Saturday’s game saw the Fisher Cats blow a 5-1 lead in the final two innings, falling 6-5. McCarty hit his third home run at the level, while Bohrofen hit his 13th double of the season. Devereaux Harrison had a strong start, striking out six in five scoreless innings, but Rafael Sanchez had a tough outing, giving up four runs in 2.1 innings pitched.
Sunday saw the Fisher Cats fall 7-5 to lose five of six against the Yard Goats. Bohrofen, Alex Stone, and Peyton Williams each hit a double. Juaron Watts-Brown had a good start, going four scoreless innings with five strikeouts.
Like the Bisons, the Fisher Cats will play the first three at home against the Portland Sea Dogs, before heading on the road to play the Sea Dogs for the weekend portion of the series.

Chris McElvain made the start, striking out three in four scoreless innings. Irv Carter struck out four in three scoreless innings, but Yondrei Rojas picked up his first loss and a blown save.

It was a strong start from Khal Stephen, as he went 5.1 innings with one earned run allowed and eight strikeouts. Chay Yeager struck out two in an inning and two-thirds, and Aaron Munson struck out four in two innings of work.

D-Jays’ final game suspended in extra innings

West Florida didn’t cooperate with the Dunedin Blue Jays this past week, as they had three separate games suspended. In the second game of a doubleheader (we covered the first game last week), the D-Jays fell 5-0. Kendry Chirinos hit his seventh double of the season, the team’s lone extra-base hit. Sunday’s game is currently deadlocked at three in the top of the 11th with the Marauders batting. No date has been announced for when it’ll resume.
This week, the D-Jays play the first three games at home against the Lakeland Flying Tigers, before hitting the road against them for the weekend portion of the series.
