Blue Jays place Jameson Taillon on IL with right forearm tendonitis, recall Chase Lee

The Toronto Blue Jays’ roster carousel continued on Tuesday afternoon. 
Before tonight’s contest against the Boston Red Sox, the Blue Jays announced that they placed Jameson Taillon on the 15-day injured list with right forearm tendonitis. 
Taillon was removed from Monday night’s 2-1 victory after turning in a pitching line of 4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, throwing only 61 pitches. Taillon was seen having a conversation with both manager John Schneider and pitching coach Pete Walker before being lifted from the game. 
The Blue Jays acquired Taillon and cash considerations from the Chicago Cubs on August 2 in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. The right-hander made two starts with the club following the trade and pitched to a 3.38 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP, while striking out seven across eight innings. 
Currently in the final year of a four-year, $68-million contract he signed with the Cubs, Taillon has made 17 starts this season and has gone 2-6 with a 5.68 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP. The 34-year-old has struck out 75 across 83 innings and allowed opponents to hit .253 during that span. 
In a corresponding move, the Blue Jays announced they were recalling right-hander Chase Lee. Lee was optioned on August 7 before the series opener in Philadelphia, but can be recalled due to the injury. 
In five games with the Blue Jays this season, Lee has recorded a 5.06 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP, and picked up a save on August 5 during a 5-4 win over the Houston Astros. Across 5.1 innings pitched, Lee has struck out two and held opponents to a .176 average.
