Vlad had us all fooled

For a few fleeting moments we let ourselves believe. We believed, based on an incredibly vague Instagram post, that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was going to be joining the Blue Jays in New York.
Here’s where it started:
Wait, WHAT? Vlad is at JFK Airport RIGHT NOW? The Blue Jays are playing in New York TOMORROW. They sent down Anthony Alford on SUNDAY to make a corresponding roster move on TUESDAY.

It didn’t take long for the hype train to get rolling:
VLAD JR IS IN NYC EVERYONE AND SO ARE THE BLUE JAYS 🤔🤔🤔👀👀👀❤️❤️❤️⚠️⚠️⚠️ https
This can’t be real, can it?
Fisher Cats are in Hartford tonight at 7:05...
Hmmmm, okay. But still, flying into New York to get to Hartford in a few hours? Surely there’s got to be more to this than that. Then Vlad adds a completely new element to the story by taking off the JFK Airport Geotag on the post:
Vlad Jr. just took down the geotag for JFK. This is the best baseball player tracking situation since the Cliff Lee flight tracker.
What the hell? So it turns out that Vlad had already posted this photo back in December. Why?! WHY??!!!
Ok, after literally scrolling it seems Vlad posted the same picture on Insta today that he did in December.
Okay, so Vlady isn’t getting called up. He just fucked with all of us by uploading an old photo of himself at JFK Airport while the Jays are also heading to NYC. He has 80 grade contact, 80 grade power, and 80 grade troll, says every single person on Twitter right now.
So that mystery is solves. But nothing can explain the appearance of this ghost:
there's even more to this story
The post has since been deleted. Damn, what a 30 minutes that was!
