After completing four rehab starts with high-A Dunedin, Vlad will be heading up to triple-A Buffalo to play until he will be called up, most likely soon.
Reported by Jesse Sanchez, the top prospect in all of baseball will be playing for the Bisons sooner than later. Heading up to join the team today as they come back from their rained-out game yesterday.
The Bisons start a series with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tomorrow, where Vlad will most likely make his first triple-A start of the season.
He suffered an oblique injury early in Spring Training and has been out until he made his first start with Dunedin last week, hitting 4-for-15 in four starts.
In Buffalo, he will be joining a team already full with the Jays’ top prospects. Bo Bichette is struggling early, but Cavan Biggio has been absolutely raking since making his triple-A debut. Having eight hits in just 20 plate appearances, Biggio was also able to net two home runs and add five walks to the already impressive stat line.
There are various guesses to when Guerrero will make his major league debut — from Monday against the Twins to April 30th against the Rays. But at least he will for sure be up with the team in at least a few weeks and provide the big league team with some big league offence.
