On Sunday afternoon, the Blue Jays beat the Philadelphia Phillies 8-3, the second time they’ve beaten the 2022 National League pennant winners.

Look, if you hit a home run and haven’t won the player of the game, there’s a good chance you’ll get it.
The Jays were up 5-3 with two runners on when Zach Britton stepped up to the plate in the top of the eighth. One swing later, the Jays were up 8-3. His second home run of the season came off the bat at 108.6 mph, and had a distance of 406 feet.
Keep an eye on him in 2023.

Yusei Kikuchi made his fourth start of the spring, but once again, it was not televised. In today’s game, he walked three and allowed four hits. On a positive note, he still hasn’t allowed a run, and he struck out four with a game-high 14 whiffs. With command and control, watch out.
George Springer hit a home run for his third straight game. <a href="https://twitter.com/KeeganMatheson/status/1635007109585838081">This one was 100.3 mph off the bat and went a distance of 423 feet, proper nuke territory according to Keegan Matheson</a>. Right field Springer is in full effect.
Anthony Bass was roughed up for the first time this spring. He allowed four hits, gave up three earned runs, and struck out two in his one inning of work. I wouldn’t look too much into it unless this trend continues.
Bo Bichette went 2-2 and now has nine hits in the spring. He left the game rather early, but I have no idea if it was due to precaution, or it was the plan. Either way, he’s been absolutely fantastic this spring.
Paul Fry has had a great spring. He pitched the final inning, allowing three hits but striking out two and not allowing a run. His spring ERA now sits at 1.93.
Toronto’s next game will be on Monday afternoon against the Boston Red Sox. The weather may not be ideal, so there’s a chance that it’ll be cancelled. Alek Manoah will be on the bump.
