9 months agoThe postseason draws near for the Toronto Blue Jays as their second-to-last series of the season kicks off Tuesday night.
Coming into town is Michael King and the now-eliminated-from-the-postseason New York Yankees, who are looking to pull anything positive from a tough season. For the Jays, it offers them a great chance to continue to stay hot at the plate, and overcome a pitcher who has given them fits this season.
King has thrown 10 and two-thirds innings against the Jays this year limiting them to just seven hits and two earned runs while posting a dominant 1.69 ERA. His 11.8 K/9 rate has given Toronto more than enough fits, too.
Tonight, the Jays will send Kevin Gausman opposite of him on the mound.
First pitch: 7:07 p.m EST — Sportsnet, Sportsnet 650.
Toronto Blue Jays: 87-69, 10.0 GB, +1.5 WCGB, +76 DIFF.
New York Yankees: 79-77, 18.0 GB, 6.5 WCGB, -20 DIFF.
Moneyline: TOR -175; NYY +150.
