Things worth mentioning…

• Josh Donaldson was back in the lineup Tuesday afternoon, hitting a single in three at-bats. Donaldson had a minor shoulder issue for a few days, or in Gibby speak, it was “hanging a little bit.”
• Marco Estrada went three innings, allowing just one soft single and striking out three hitters. He only allowed two balls to get out of the infield: the single and a fly ball to Steve Pearce in the first inning.
• Speaking of Pearce, he left the game in the third with left calf tightness and is day-to-day  (according to Arden Zwelling). Pearce is the latest Blue Jay to be dealing with something, but it’s still the first week of March. Blah blah blah, midseason form, we get it. I don’t think anybody needs to be a hero in games that you’re only playing 3-4 innings, especially when you have a job already locked down.
• In #LEFTYWATCH2018, Aaron Loup gave up a single and struck out the side, while Craig Breslow surrendered two singles, a walk, and a double, getting just one hitter out. There’s not really a huge margin for error with Breslow, because there’s only room for one of him, Tim Mayza, and Loup on the major league roster.
