The Toronto Blue Jays have a few more players representing the organization in Philadelphia later this July.
While the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby are featured events, there is also the All-Star Futures Game that takes place, with baseball’s best prospects from coast to coast playing head-to-head. For the Blue Jays, top prospect JoJo Parker and pitching prospect Nolan Perry will be heading to Citizens Bank Park for the Sunday matchup.
Parker is in his first pro season since being drafted in the first round last summer. The infielder has spent the entire campaign in Single-A Dunedin, where he has spent most of the time at shortstop with a few games at the hot corner mixed in. Across 64 games and 234 at-bats, Parker owns a .252/.392/.462 with a .854 OPS. The left-handed hitting Mississippi product has also added 18 doubles, two triples, and nine home runs to his 2026 tally, while also smacking 43 RBIs with 50 walks.
At the plate, Parker owns a .209 ISO and a .323 BABIP and has been a plus hitter this season for the Blue Jays, putting together a .395 wOBA and a 129 wRC+.
Heading to Philly alongside Parker will be right-hander Nolan Perry, who has been one of the standouts from the Jays’ farm system this season.
After missing all of last season due to injury, Perry returned to the diamond this season with the Jays in Dunedin, making five appearances. He allowed four earned runs and eight hits through 21 innings, putting together a tidy 1.71 ERA before earning a call-up to High-A Vancouver in early May.
With the Canadians, Perry continued to dominate, posting a 3.23 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP across 30.2 innings of work, allowing just 11 earned runs and 11 walks compared to 46 strikeouts. He earned the Northwest League Pitcher of the Week and Month honours for June, and the organization moved him up another level to Double-A New Hampshire earlier this week. Starting against Reading yesterday night, Perry went three innings, allowing just one hit and two walks compared to seven strikeouts.
