It is only in recent times that we have observed multiple players from this roster compete in an evaluation capacity and competitive capacity. The roster is selected from a nationwide talent pool and various programs are well represented.
The Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) has its stamp on this roster. Will Hynes is a huge name in the game, north of the border. The Canadian arm is draft-worthy and is committed to attending Wake Forest University. Hynes was a member of the CPBL as well as the Canes Canada program.
Phillip Cheong is a very likable infielder with speed, amongst other tools. He’s with the Ontario Blue Jays organization and is committed to attending Stanford. Jordan Jacob is another solid bat, playing the hot corner for the Jays and he’s committed to attending the University of Pittsburgh.
These players were also represented at the 2024 Canadian Futures Showcase in September. Esteban Dessureault, Tim Piasentin, Adyn Schell, and Sean Duncan were all extravagant prospects who showed well at the showcase. William Labonte, Walker Kokotailo, and Max Poirier were also highlights from the showcase.
The selections were very self-explanatory after evaluating these players throughout the summer season. Various players competed in their respective leagues, along with multiple showcases held by Perfect Game, Prep Baseball, and more. The Canada Cup and PBR Futures tryouts also shun light on some of these names.
This roster is built with the top spotlighted talent in the country, and the group will be fun to watch in professional competition down in the Caribbean.
