Following a hectic opener on Friday which saw Luke Maile hit 2 home runs in the same game, the Jays ended up on the losing end of things on Saturday.
Things worth mentioning…
- Going 6 innings today, Marco Estrada allowed 4 runs on 7 hits to a Red Sox Team that has the best record in the league. With the way the starting rotation has been performing recently, 4 runs over 6 innings is a decent start but the rotation will need to be better down the stretch.
- A base hit by Anthony Alford drove in the first run of his MLB career today in the 4th inning.
- Russ Martin got the start at 3rd base today, but was quiet at the plate, striking out twice and getting on base once from a walk.
- Gio Urshela made his Blue Jays debut today, starting at shortstop and hitting 9th in the order. He picked up his first hit and RBI in a Toronto uniform in the third inning.

Tommorow the Jays will hope to take the series against the sox at 1:07pm.
