Grant Rogers was one of a handful of Toronto Blue Jays pitching prospects to break out in 2025.
This is Blue Jays Nation’s bi-annual prospect ranking, where we’ll look at the top 35 prospects in the system in the month of February. As always, I’ll look at the player’s stats, what other publications have to say, as well as my own observations of the players. If you missed the 21st-ranked prospect, you can read about Adam Macko here.

Getting to know Grant Rogers…

Position: Starting pitcher
Throws: Right
Born: May 22nd, 2001
Acquired: 11th round, 2023 draft
Previous ranking: 16th
Standing at 6’7”, 230 lbs, the Blue Jays selected right-handed pitcher Grant Rogers in the 11th round of the 2023 draft out of McNeese State. He had an impressive final season of college ball, posting a 1.82 ERA and 2.81 FIP in 103.2 innings pitched. That was the end of his 2023 season, as Rogers didn’t make his professional debut until the following season.
Beginning the 2024 season with the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays, the righty posted a 4.26 ERA and 4.22 FIP in 74 innings pitched, making 14 starts in 15 appearances and finishing his tenure with a 22.7 K% and 7.1 BB%. Ending the 2024 season in High-A, Rogers had a 3.11 ERA and 2.68 FIP in six starts, striking out 24.3% of batters and finishing with a 4.1 BB% in 37.2 innings pitched.
Rogers really began to make a name for himself when he repeated the High-A level to begin 2025, authoring a 1.82 ERA and 3.40 FIP in 39.2 innings pitched, with a 22.8 K% and 10.5 BB%. Early into the season, Rogers punched his ticket to Manchester, New Hampshire, joining the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
Over 20 starts, Rogers had a 4.07 ERA and 3.76 FIP in 110.2 innings pitched, with a 16 K% and 4.2 BB%. As a whole, Rogers had a 3.47 ERA and 3.66 FIP in 150.1 innings pitched, along with a 17.8 K% and 5.9 BB%. Those 150.1 innings pitched were the most in the Blue Jays’ farm system since Patrick Murphy, Zach Logue, and T.J Zeuch all threw 152.2 innings or more during the 2018 season.
Rogers ranked as Fangraphs’ 22nd-best prospect heading into this season, and command is the name of the game for the 24-year-old righty. There’s a bit of similarities between him and the aforementioned Zeuch, as you could envision both righties playing small forward on a basketball court, but both average fastballs in the low-90s. That said, Rogers is capable of touching 96 mph with a great two-seam fastball. The secondaries work well because of his pitch sequencing.
Because of his strong 2025, Rogers has put himself in the conversation to be a depth starter in 2026. It’s likely he’ll get a handful of starts with the Fisher Cats to begin the season, but if he can find success there, a promotion to the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons in May or June is entirely possible.
