Minor League Baseball truly begins this week.
Last week, the Toronto Blue Jays’ Triple-A team, the Buffalo Bisons, began their season. Well this week, the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, High-A Vancouver Canadians, and Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays begin their season. On Tuesday afternoon, all three teams released their Opening Day schedule.
Let’s take a look at each team’s roster.

Dunedin Blue Jays roster

There’ll be a ton of eyes on the D-Jays this season. JoJo Parker, the player the Blue Jays drafted eighth overall in the 2025 draft, will begin his professional career in Single-A. Blaine Bullard, a high school drafted in the 12th round, will also make his professional debut with the D-Jays in 2026.
Other players from that draft class on the D-Jays include: Eric Snow, Dylan Watts, Austin Smith, Karson Ligon, Trace Baker, Noah Palmese, Jaxson West, and Will Cresswell. Interestingly, Jake Cook isn’t on the roster, which means he’ll likely start the season with the Florida Complex League Blue Jays. The same is the case for Juan Sanchez, who broke out last season.
The Blue Jays’ first-rounder in 2022, Brandon Barriera, is on the Opening Day roster. He’s dealt with numerous injuries over the years, but he still has potential. Nolan Perry also made the D-Jays roster and is coming off Tommy John surgery. Lastly, Troy Guthrie earned a promotion to the D-Jays after a successful season in the Florida Complex League.

Vancouver Canadians roster

One of the Blue Jays’ top prospects, Arjun Nimmala, will repeat the season in High-A, at least to begin the year. The shortstop started the 2025 season off strong, but was a below average hitter from June onwards. Edward Duran is the only other position player on the 40-man roster, and he finished 2025 with the Canadians.
On the pitching side of things, Johnny King is their top-ranked prospect, coming off a terrific professional debut. Splitting his time between the FCL and Single-A, the left-handed pitcher had a 2.48 ERA and 3.18 FIP in 61.2 innings pitched, with a 39.5 K% and 13.9 BB%. Oddly enough, his BB% jumped from 7.1% in the FCL to 17.9% in Single-A.
There are two 2025 draftees on the roster, Jake Casey and Danny Thompson Jr. Other names to keep an eye on are Gilberto Batista (acquired in the Danny Jansen trade), Austin Cates, Landen Maroudis, and Tucker Toman.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats roster

The top prospect on the Double-A Fisher Cats is Gage Stanifer. It could be a big year for the right-handed pitcher, as he broke out last season. Splitting his time between Single-A, High-A, and Double-A, the 22-year-old posted a 2.86 ERA and 2.70 FIP in 110 innings pitched, with a 35.5 K%. Stanifer also finished with a 12.8 BB%, one thing he’ll need to improve in 2026.
Other than Stanifer, there are a handful of pitchers to keep an eye on. Fernando Perez had a strong 2025 season split between High-A and Double-A, and could earn a look in Triple-A at some point this season. Kai Peterson and Javen Coleman are two left-handed relievers who could see Buffalo as well this season.
Their top position player prospect on the roster is Sean Keys, who could be in line for a breakout year this season. Cutter Coffey, Eddie Micheletti, and Nick Goodwin all were promoted from the Canadians.
Jace Bohrofen, once a top 30 Blue Jays’ prospect, is repeating the level after slashing .203/.311/.377 with 10 home runs in 335 plate appearances last season. The outfielder spent a portion of the season on the shelf and is a breakout candidate.
